How to Pick Up Money

Requirements to Collect Money in Puerto Rico:

To receive a money transfer by Western Union the person receiving must provide photo identification.
 

Forms of identification:

  • Driver's license (not allowed Electoral Card)
  • passport
  • Government ID

 

You must also fill out the "Receive Money Transfer" form provided by your Western Union representative in RR Post & Service Center Corp.  You will need the MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number) number and full name of the person who sent the transfer.  It is important that your name is written in the same way in both the Western Union system as your photo ID, otherwise you can not carry out the transfer receipt until you have corrected any error.  Remember, it is our duty to ensure their safety and your money.
